Iain Allison is an experienced payments specialist in the fintech and online remittance world. He joined Pay10 in Dubai in April 2024 as Pay10’s Head of Global Remittances.

In 1999, he was co-founder of the first online remittance business, Cash2India, establishing a US-to-India (and to elsewhere) online remittance model that was more convenient, better priced and faster than traditional brick and mortar models.

Xoom bought Cash2India in 2004. With Xoom, Mr Allison was instrumental in growing the Xoom business to a >$1.2billion/month online global remittance juggernaut.

The business continued its progress when PayPal bought Xoom as its remittance arm in 2015.

Mr Allison was the Global Head of Business Development for Xoom under PayPal ownership (Xoom, a Paypal service) until March 2024.

Mr Allison also has considerable experience in stablecoins from his time at Paypal.

Mr Allison holds an MBA from the London Business School and a BA from the University of London.
