Richard Maikai is an Assistant Director in the Central Bank of Nigeria with Nineteen (19) years work experience nine (9) years out of which is in
remittance. He currently is the Head of Policy Formulation and Implementation, Trade & Exchange Department.

He was responsible for developing the Guidelines for the Operations of International Money Transfer Services in Nigeria and a member of the Project
Giant Team responsible for the deployment of the eNaira which is the Nigerian version of the Central Bank Digital Currency.
