Aswin Phlaphongphanich

Mr. Aswin Phlaphongphanich is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder Sawasdeeshop Co., Ltd., Thailand’s leading and fastest-growing FinTech company specializing in cross-border payments with approximately 77 employees.

Born in Thailand into a Sikh family from India, the 43-year-old entrepreneur, Mr. Aswin has experience in both Thailand and Asia, this allows him to better understand and coordinate the individual needs of different regions and cultures so as to successfully develop and complete projects in a timely manner. Mr. Aswin has been involved in the telecoms and tech business since 1999 and has built up a strong existing customer base made up of Thais, expatriate professionals, long-stay tourists, and overseas foreign workers in Thailand.

His specialties are revolutionizing the cross-border FinTech ecosystem and bridging the gap for customers who live between a digital and physical world through frictionless money transfer solutions, nonbanks, financial advisory roles, and corporate structuring.

He graduated with a Master's Degree in e-commerce from Bentley University in 2001, Undergraduate in 1999 from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.In 2017, he launched SawasdeeShop it was awarded a Non-Bank International Money Remittance Service License, a Money-Exchange License, and an E-Payment License by the Bank of Thailand. In July 2018, DeeMoney was officially launched – disrupting the market with an industry-first flat fee and mobile app. And with that, a new era of enabling digital international money transfers in and out of Thailand was born.
