President of COAF since August 2019, having previously held the positions of Supervisory Director
of the body, from January to August 2019, and Executive Secretary, from April 2013 until January
2019.

He served as Councilor representing the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) in the Plenary of Coaf from
1998 to 2012. A career civil servant of the BCB, he has worked since 1977 in the fiscalization areas,
with emphasis on the supervision of the National Financial System focused on the prevention of
money laundering and financing of terrorism (PLD/FT).

He holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the School of Technology and Applied Social Sciences
of the University Center of Brasilia - UniCEUB.
