Raphael has been elected as a partner of the firm, effective as of January 1st, 2022. He is
specialized in banking, foreign exchange, electronic payments, fintechs, and corporate
matters.

He has been deeply involved in assisting fintechs in their licensing with the Central Bank of
Brazil regarding new types of financial institutions created in 2018 - SCDs and SEPs, and
in coordinating the submissions for Creditas, Nexoos and Listo, among others.

Palmieri is one of the firm’s go-to-names for regulatory advice on foreign exchange,
working with financial institutions and fintechs that operate in such ecosystem, including
Western Union, Transferwise, and banks in general (such as BS2, Bradesco, and
Santander).

Raphael has been an associate of Pinheiro Neto Advogados since 2011 and had
previously worked for 5 years in Itaú BBA, a major Brazilian investment bank.
