Unistream has the biggest share in Armenia

As of the results of the first six months 2008, the turnover of Unistream money transfers in Armenia hits USD 324.5 million, 40.3% above the indicator for the same period of 2007. Thus, based on the CBA statistics, Unistream has the biggest share in the Armenian market of money transfers (Western Union, Money Gram, Anelik, Bistraya Pochta, Express and etc.) - more than 50%. Unistream plans to increase its turnover to USD 1 billion by the end of 2008.

The most of the Unistream transfers - above 60% comes from Russia, followed by Ukraine. Some 60% of the money transfers are in USD and the amount of the transfers ranges from USD 100 to 1000.

While considering the growing demand of the money transfers, Unibank has implemented a number of new services, such as outcoming transfers in Russian rubles and Unistream card account replenishments (free provision of the cards). It is also planned to provide an opportunity of credit repayment with the transfer funds.

The Unistream money transfer system with no account opening was implemented by Unibank-Armenia in the year of 2001. According to independent experts, today Unistream is one of the most dynamic money transfer systems; the geography of the system covers 90 countries.

The advantages of Unistream are obvious - the cost of the transfer is one of the lowest in the world - from 1.1% depending on the destination of the transfer and the speed starts from 10 minutes. Aside from the low tariffs Unistream is distinguished by its simple and comfortable service - no account is opened and the transfer documents are executed by the bank clerk.
It is worth mentioning that the total amount of private transfers in Armenia increased by 20% and reached AMD 425.2 billion (some AMD 1,4 billion) in the year of 2007, of them 90,7% fell to the incoming money transfers.
