Leon Isaacs, ceo Developing Markets Associates and a member of the IAMTN Advisory Board has been invited by the World Bank to address the launch of their initiative on Public-Private Partnerships on Remittances in Vienna in September. This is part of the World Bank's Global Payments Week.
The invitation came from Massimo Cirasino, Head of Payments Systems Development Group, World Bank.
The purpose of the event is to enhance the efficiency of the remittance market. Further, to seek practical, actionable mechanisms to implement standards in Public-Private Partnership services. There will be an international discussion between regulators and the remittance industry to facilate the flow of remittances through regulated channels.
Mr Isaacs will address the World Bank on, 'Developing a common framework for measuring transparency in the remittances market.'
Says Lady Olga Maitland, CEO, IAMTN, "Mr Isaacs is highly respected in his field. It is an honour that he represents IAMTN at this extremely important forum."
