In 2007, the international money transfers system UNIStream processed transaction volume worth $3.7 billion, a 100 percent increase compared with 2006 when the system turnover reached $1.85 billion. The analysis department of the company reported steady growth throughout 2007.
In his comments, CEO Souren Hayriyan said that the success the company has achieved is due to intensive realization of the strategy targeted at developing its service point network in Russia, CIS and globally. He reported that last year the company signed partnership agreements with 66 financial institutions in Russia, 36 in CIS and 14 globally. The number of the UNIStream’s members soared to 330. The number of service points of UNIStream globally increased from 25,000 to 65,000, plus its own network has been intensively developed in Russia, Cyprus and Great Britain. The company plans to further step up its operational activity, with a focus on transformation into a major global market player.
