UK’s Monitise Launches Cross-Border Remittance

UK’s wireless payments company Monitise has added international remittances to its mobile banking and payments platform. Customers of banks with access to Monitise will now be able to send international remittances from their cell phone or other mobile devices. The company says the remittance service will be integrated into its multi-bank, multi-mobile operator platform, and there is no requirement for significant technical integration or changes to remittance service firms and banks’ current infrastructure.
