On30 June 2009, MoneyGram International Inc, a payment services company, forged a deal with National Commercial Bank, the largest bank in the Middle East, to offer a money transfer service at the bank's 1,400 ATM locations in Saudi Arabia. MoneyGram stated that the agreement “significantly expands” its presence in the country.
On 16 July 2009, MoneyGram International Inc indicated that that it has signed a deal with CIMB Thai Bank Public Co. to launch money transfer service at nearly 150 locations in July 2009. The deal would help in increasing MoneyGram's network in Bangkok by nearly 20.0%, and add about 50 locations in the rest of the Asian country.
