Central Bank of India, Thomas Cook close money transfer deal

State-run Central Bank of India (CBI) and UK travel agency Thomas Cook have partnered to offer a money transfer service via MoneyGram International, a leading global payment service. Thomas Cook has worked with MoneyGram in India since 1997.

With a large number of Indian immigrants settled in the US, Britain, Canada, Australia and the UAE, a high volume of funds are transferred from these countries to India. MoneyGram's regional director for South Asia, Harsh Lambah says that the CBI’s network of 3282 branches can provide convenient and reliable money transfer services anywhere in the country.
